Site information

Editorial Standards

How the site researches, explains, updates and corrects asset tracking information.

We aim for plain language, practical distinctions and transparent limits. Articles separate identity from location, custody from ownership, condition from status, and physical verification from later administrative adjustment.

Sources

Where standards or external frameworks are discussed, we prefer official standards bodies, government sources and primary documentation. Product-vendor material may be used to understand technology categories but is not treated as a universal standard.

No invented precision

Calculators use user-entered values. We do not present unsourced industry-average loss rates, lifecycle costs, replacement intervals or utilization targets as universal facts.

Corrections

Material errors can be reported through the Contact page. Corrections may be made without preserving an outdated public version.
