Condition & Status

Availability, assignment, repair, hold, inspection, warranty and other statuses that explain whether an asset can actually be used.

Availability is a business status, not merely physical presence.

An asset may be unavailable because it is being repaired, waiting for parts, awaiting inspection or deliberately removed from service.

A hold status separates physical possession from authorization to use the asset.

Condition grading creates a consistent vocabulary for physical condition without pretending to replace technical inspection.

Time-based status fields help prevent important dates from disappearing inside purchase files or email.
